Vulnerabilities in Signal
Two vulnerabilities in Signal - the most trusted secure messaging application - were reported by Markus Vervier (CEO and Head of Research at X41 D-Sec GmbH, a security company from Germany) and Jean-Philippe Aumasson (Principal Cryptographer at Kudelski Security).
Signal is regarded as the most secure messaging application and it’s technology is also used by Whatsapp and other messengers.
The vulnerabilities discovered allow attackers to modify encrypted attachments and crash the Signal app permanently.
